For the Boys

A few weeks ago I came up with a brilliant idea to make a ton of cookies for Dwain and the guys and mail them over to them! I just didn't think that I would be working like crazy as well as finishing up my last quarter here at the school! So I was being stretched a little thin with my last BIG class project, work and getting all these cookies and cards done in time to get them shipped out! They put a cut off date on packages going to the guys of Dec 10, so if I didn't get them in the mail before then, they probably would just come back to me! And it normally takes just under 2 weeks for packages to get to him so it would time out just perfectly to get there in time for Christmas!
So I recruited some help from Stacey and Ashley to help me get it all done! Although I did end up doing the bulk of the work all myself because both of them had to work all weekend too! So we were all stretched thin the past few days!
Stacey and I went up to the school to use their kitchens to make the large batches of cookie dough and bake off as many as we could!

What...I was just doing quality control! lol
There they are...most of the sugar cookies all baked...then we had to go home!
So I did all the rest at home! Yes...I baked off a TON of cookies in just a regular ol' oven! These are the chocolate crackle cookies
Milk chocolate cookies
The best chocolate chip cookies ever
Raspberry bars all baked and cooling
Now time to make Christmas cards...we had a pj night and making cards :)

Time to make Christmas cards for the guys!
We did a champagne toast :)
Ha...I took a video of us singing Mariah Carey!

Then came the day when I started packaging up all the cookies! These that are going in tins are just for Dwain and his roomies Mac, Wing and Manuel :)
I had cookies staged everywhere around the apartment...in the dining room...
These cookies in the living room were given by Kimberly Radwick of Sweet Carolines Cakes (http://www.sweetcarolinescakes.com/)
This was after I got 2 of the cookies put in the bags...I had the dining room and living room covered!
Now time to put the last of the cookies in bags...this was at 5am!
Time to box them up! Inside each big box were 8 smaller boxes with 5 bags of cookies and 5 personalized Christmas cards :) This was at 7:30am!
This was the "special" box just for Dwain and his roomies...I put a Santa hat in there for Dwain to wear while he hands out cookies! lol
Me and Stacey decorated the outside of the boxes too! And I guess since we did that...they got the boxes to the guys quicker...instead of taking 12 days it only took 7!
