Yes...that is correct...we got snow in Texas! I never would have thought I would have ever believed anyone if they would have told me that it would snow here unless I had seen it with my own eyes! They had been saying on the news that we would be getting snow early afternoon, so when I got up this morning to take the kids to school I looked outside and it was kind of sprinkling. Around 10 minutes later, at 7:05 the kids and I went out to the car. Just a minute later, those raindrops turned into snowflakes!
So I dropped the kids off at school and asked them about how they handle snow days. The lady told me that they will probably release the kids by 11am! I don't know why they just didn't let them stay home all day...because by the time I dropped them off and got back home...the snow was really coming down and starting to stick!
By 9:30am I got the message from the school that they were releasing the kids by 10:30am...by then a lot of snow had fallen and was sticking. This is what it looked like when I went to pick up the kids!
Abby and Riley couldn't have been happier to a. be out of school early and b. to have snow on the ground to play in!
Dwain got home from work just about an hour or so later and the kids wanted to go out and play in the snow. He did not want to go and guilt tripped me into going out there with them!

Riley immediately started making giant snowballs!
And attempted to make a snowman...that he destroyed!
