I woke up at 7am to get the turkey out of the fridge and then I climbed back in bed until 8am cause I had to get it in the oven! Dwain got up with me because I knew he was more eager for the kids to see what Santa brought more than the kids maybe!! lol So he went in and woke them up! lol Bless their hearts, as they woke up, they just kind of looked at us like it was just another day! Then they realized it and Riley was up and headed to the living room while Abby was still trying to comprehend what day it was...even though she asked "is it Christmas yet?" every day for almost 6 weeks! lol
And the kids went at it!
Then Dwain was sent out to the balcony to "get something for me" but in reality it is that his Christmas present (that I snuck out of the house at 2:20am to go to Ft. Hood to our friend Frtiz and Tiffanie's house to get and then sneak it in the apt at 3:00am crawl back in bed without him knowing) Yes...he is wearing bunny pj's! lol
I got him the bike he's been wanting :)
After the presents were all opened, I took the kids to their mom's house for them to spend Christmas day with her. This is what Santa left me and Dwain...5 bags of trash! lol
Then we loaded up he car with the turkey, ham, dressing, corn, mashed potatoes, cheesecake and red velvet cake and headed to good ol' Ft. Hood to our friends the Fritz's house. As we left the house, Dwain says we need to get gas. I said yes, we should be fine getting to a gas station...see...the gas light came on as I was leaving Ft. Hood in the middle of the night! We got to the first gas station and it was closed...so as we were driving to the next gas station it happened! Yep...we ran out of gas!!! lol And of course I took a few photos to mark this occasion :)
