So it is finally here...the last week of summer quarter! Monday was my Beverage ID class final, and as I was trying to sleep Sunday night before my text, all I could think of was wine regions, grape varieties and appellations! So I was up until 4:20am trying to stop thinking! But, as I was driving to school, I was studying! Yes, not very safe, but it proved to be a good thing because I think I did much better than I thought I would!
My Asian final was on Tuesday and we cooked a little food too! We were in Indonesia and we made
Laksa Lemak: Chicken, Shrimp and Rice Noodles in a Coconut Sauce

Satay Ayam: Chicken Satay

Lapis Daging and Sambal Tomat: Stir-Fried Beef with Fried Shallot Flakes, Steamed Rice and Tomato Sauce

Me and Aisha after cleaning up and ready to go!

While we were in class, the advanced baking and pastry class were preparing their final! Beautiful cakes, sugar sculptures, chocolate sculptures and lots of goodies to eat too! We got to sneak over and see their creations and taste some goodies too! I got a few pictures to show some of these wonderful creations!
My friend Brittany and her table

A beautiful fish someone made of chocolate

A sugar sculpture I liked

and some amazing cakes!

So, my in my International class on Tuesday we took our written final and our knife skills test. Yes! They test us on knife skills! I think I have greatly improved this quarter! Then on Wednesday we had our cooking practical. We had to create our "menu" and then prepare 2 identical plates in 90 minutes. We had to make a protein, we all had to use the same starch and vegetable, make a sauce and garnish our plates. So I did
Pan Roasted Stuffed Chicken Breast Supreme with a White Wine Lemon Butter Sauce served with Rice Pilaf and Sauteed Broccolini

Here is my class...there were only 9 of us and Chef Jolis
