1 1/4 cups milk
(can use 1 %, 2%, whole milk or heavy cream)
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
4 pieces Texas Toast
Captain Crunch (as needed)
Combine the milk, eggs and vanilla in a bowl and whisk until blended. In a ziploc bag, add as much Captain Crunch as you like and crush. You can leave some bigger and some more crushed and put in a separate dish. Dip bread into egg mixture, making sure to coat both sides well. Then coat with crushed cereal. (I like to place a slice on top of the crushed cereal and add some of the cereal on to the top (enough to cover so your hand doesn't get slimy) and press the bread into the cereal, flip and repeat. Pressing the bread into the cereal just helps it get coated a little easier...and the cereal will not stick all over, so you don't have to keep trying!)
In a 10" fry pan, melt 1 Tbs of butter with 1 Tbs of vegetable oil (may need to add some each time you take pieces out as the pan will begin to dry out) and place french toast into the pan. Cook until browned on both sides (to your liking) and serve with your favorite syrup and powdered sugar (optional)!!!
You'll love it! Bon Appétit!

Well this sounds delish. I don't really like french toast but this recipe might just turn me on to it. I will let you know how it turns out. : P thanks for sharing.
