This is it...it is time to go pick up my soldier! I didn't sleep very well last night...I didn't go to sleep until 5am and then got up just before 8am! Can't believe this day has finally arrived! It has so much meaning to it...more than just Dwain coming home from Iraq but also that we will spend our first night together in our apartment...that we are finally together after all these years!
I went and got my car cleaned and then came back home to try on my different outfits cause I still haven't figured out what to wear! Dwain's mom called and they were here so I let them in and showed them around for a minute and got out the door to go pick up the kids. I got back to the apartment and Lynn, Bo, Ryan and Ricky were hiding in the kids room. So I got Abby and Riley in the apartment and told them to go check out their room...they opened the door and were surprised that Nana and Papa were there waiting for them! It was sweet!
So I thought I should start getting dressed because we were going to be leaving soon. Then I got a phone call from Dwain...they had landed at the airport!!!! I started freaking out! I knew it wouldn't be long before they were to arrive to Cooper's Field for the ceremony! We all got in the car quickly and drove fast to get to Ft. Hood!

OH MY GOD...I started to scream! They started marching over to us! I thought I was going to die!

This video is the best! They tell the family to charge and find your soldier! We stood in place and had Dwain come to find us. But I couldn't find him...I was looking everywhere! And just when I was looking to my left...he walked up right in front of us!
And he got his babies! I was so happy for him to see his babies!
We came home, he showered and changed and then he and I went to the grocery store! Then we all got dressed and went to dinner. After we left dinner and got in the car...we lost these 3 pretty quickly! It had been a long day and this just said it all!Abby, Riley and Ricky
