Belton Parade and Rangers Game

So yesterday we found out that Belton (the town we live in) has a parade each year...dating back to the 1890's!! It turns out we live in quite the historical town! Belton is located on the Chisholm Trail which is the famous trail where they would run the cattle from Texas up north. So we were pretty excited to find out that we have a parade just a mile down the road! Dwain and I got ready and grabbed our chairs, put on our tennis shoes and did the mile walk down to where the parade starts and found us a place to sit. It felt like we were back home at the Colbert parade!
Me and my sweet beautiful DD
They had horses begin the parade (not like the Colbert parade) they were presenting the 6 flags of Texas

These are the cowgirl chicks from the rodeo!
He was the rodeo clown at the rodeo
Belton High School's marching band and cheerleaders

The Cowboys Miller Lite truck...this thing was crazy!
Got to love a Bud Light Hummer!
After the parade, Dwain and I went home, at lunch and then go ready to head to Arlington, Texas where the Texas Rangers baseball park is located. It took us almost 2 and a half hours to get there but we made it in time to catch all the pregame stuff. It was 1st Cavalry night at the ballpark.
Some soldiers from 1st Cavalry at Ft. Hood were there to present the flag

And they threw out the first pitch

Who knew Andrew Jones played for the White Sox now!
Our view from the seats! They were actually really nice seats!

I caught him off guard :)
