Taste of Mass. Ave

This past Saturday (09/08), in Indianapolis, there was an event called Taste of Mass. Ave where there were several restaurants with booths and there were live bands. There was a culinary pavilion set up where the Art Institute of Indianapolis, Clark Appliances and R Bistro would be doing cooking demonstrations. Chef Marc asked 8 students to go with him and we would be doing prep work for his demos. Comcast and Citizens Gas were there to film the demos and it was broadcast on the news as well as online! I am trying to find the link to it, once I find it I will post it up.
It was fun! We had a good time, except for the rain! It rained on us the moment we got there and by 7pm they called the entire thing, we packed up and went home! But I did get some good pictures :)
Here is Carla posing in the chef's hat before we left

We had a large tent set up where 4 of us were on 1 table prepping and on the other side, on another table were the others. Here is the tent and our set up.

Me, Garrett and Carla huddled under the tent
After the first wave of rain came through, Chef was able to do a demo while they filmed him
Then we all hung out for a little bit and goofed off a little too :)

We did have a small group of people come taste our samples (in between the rain!)
Todd handing out samples
Then I looked up and noticed there was more rain coming towards us!
There were some executives and administrators from AI there with a booth to offer information or anyone who wanted it. Here is Chef Marc with Carol Kelly (Dean) and 2 of the administrators.
Chef's wife, parents and kids were there, they are so adorable!
Madeline (President) came out to see us and she is with one of the event directors.
Then the rain hit again, so we just played a little, packed up the cars and got out of there!
Garrett trying to patch up our tent to keep us as dry as possible!
Hiding under a covering and an umbrella with Chef Marc!
