We started off with an herb recognition. We had them each see, smell, and touch about 10-12 herbs. Then we chopped 5 of those herbs - thyme, sage, tarragon, chives and dill - mixing each herb with a package of cream cheese to make a spread for crackers for them to taste.
Next we got them started on the meal they would serve to their parents. We served Grilled Lamb Chops with a Mint Veloute Sauce, Rice Pilaf, Roasted Vegetable Medley, Sauteed Green Beans and for dessert we served a Flourless Chocolate Cake.
I got some pictures of the students as they were working

Carla helping the students grill

If you look close Carla is cracking up cause she is throwing the chops (that have oil on them) onto the grill and making it flame up...freaking the students out...it was hilarious!

We served the food buffet style

The dining room was packed!

After we made sure everyone was taken care of, it was our turn to eat...in the kitchen of course!
