Dustin's Surprise Party!

Erin had asked me at the beginning of the year about doing a surprise party for Dustin for his 30th, so after months of talking about it and getting it figured out, we got it done!
We started really planning it about a month ago when Dustin was out of town. We made up a list of people to invite, came up with a menu and sent out invitations. The plan was for me and Erin to go to the grocery store a few days before the party so I could get everything needed to make the spread we had planned. We pretended like it was just me having breakfast with Erin and Rylan, which we did, but then we went to get all the groceries.
I woke up early this morning to get everything started. I started at 9am and baked his cake, prepared the chocolate chip pies and then started on all the food while those cooled. (Now, those of you who know me, know that if I planned the menu it would have been some elaborate meal that would have taken me 2 days to prepare for and get done just in time for the party. So thank goodness Erin picked out most everything! It made my day go by so much easier!) It was so easy, that I was done at 1:30pm! I left the house at 4pm and headed over to Diane's house (Erin's mom) where I would finish everything and get it all set up.
Here is the spread we had for everyone to enjoy...
Chicken fingers from Zaxby's and Pigs in a Blanket
Greek Pasta Salad
7 Layer Mexican Dip
Turkey Roll Up Sandwiches
Strawberries and a Cream Cheese Dip
Chocolate Chip Pie with Fresh Whipped Cream
In the far left crock pot we had Meatballs, the next one had Buffalo Chicken Dip and the football crock pot had Sausage Dip
Then we got the advance call from Erin that they were leaving the house, then about 15 minutes went by so we decided to go on outside just to make sure we didn't miss him! We planned on meeting him in the driveway since he would have seen all the cars anyway! And it was good we did, because just a few minutes later, there they came up the driveway! I got a video of him getting there, you'll see Jonathan (the pastor at Dustin's church) and Luis (Dustin's friend from the Dominican) jump out from the trees lining the driveway! It was pretty darn funny!

I think he was pretty surprised!
He took time to greet everyone and then said let's get inside and get the party started cause it was hot outside!
Then everyone made their way inside
Rylan went straight for the cake and put his fingers in it!
Then he got his dinner!
I thought this was cute...Heath sat down beside Rylan and was talking to him!
