However, I will not be making friends with these things and will not be going outside during the hours they are out there! They are usually only outside in the mornings when I get up...yes, I get up in the mornings! And by the time I get home from school, they are gone!

My Killer Wasps!
So...over the last couple of weeks I have noticed these abnormally huge bees/wasps flying around my backyard. We had these beautiful green leaves that started sprouting up and growing as tall as our fence. Then about 3 or 4 weeks ago these yellow flowers started to bloom. I liked them and thought they were pretty cool...until these things showed up!
At first I thought they were hornets, but now I think I figured it out. Below are the "bees" or whatever they are called...they are huge! I think they are about 1 1/2 to 2 inches long. I have a table and a chair that are right outside our door and there is one bee that sits on the corner of my table or on the chair and act as a look out! He won't let me out the door, but the dogs can pass and go without issues. I went online and found a website and was looking through all these different types of wasps and the one I think it most looks like is called a Cicada Killer Wasp!!!! Yes...Killer Wasp! Look at this http://www.muenster.org/hornissenschutz/baldfaced-hornet/cicada-killer-wasp.htm and tell me what you think! But...as I was freaking out over the name, it says that "while their size is intimidating, cicada killers are not aggressive and will sting humans only if pinned against the skin. Females are typically 1 1/2 to 2 inches long and they only live about 30 days. In spite of their large size, the wasps usually ignore people but they can give a painful sting if bothered. Mating males are aggressive and more easily disturbed. But they have no stinger and so they are harmless!"
However, I will not be making friends with these things and will not be going outside during the hours they are out there! They are usually only outside in the mornings when I get up...yes, I get up in the mornings! And by the time I get home from school, they are gone!
