A week ago, Blais came to me and asked what I was doing on Saturday. When I told him I was just working, he told me about an opportunity he had that he wanted to know if I wanted to join him! Of course I said YES! A lady in Perry, Georgia won a contest to have Blais come cook in her home for her and 7 of her friends.

I got up this morning and drove to FLIP to meet with Blais and Andrew so we could get ready and load up the car to drive down. Joy from NBC was there and would be driving us there and back. She was the organizer of the event.
I loved being able to chat with Blais and ask questions. It was cool getting to know him better. Turns out he is a Florida Gators fan, so that was a topic of most the conversation since today was the SEC Championship game between Florida and Alabama!
We got to Perry and met the family of the house we were using. We unloaded our supplies, made a game plan and got started!

Having a beer and laughing

Me and Andrew relaxing now!

The car ride back was hilarious! We laughed almost the entire way home! We got about 20 miles away and realized we had something that wasn't ours, so we had to turn around and go back! That gave us time to have more to laugh about! We stopped at a gas station in Macon to take a bathroom break and Chef had convinced the lady that works there that he was an American Idol contestant and that we were his entourage! It was priceless! I was laughing so hard I had to go back outside! It was an awesome day!
