Steelers Football and THE Sandwich

A show came on the other day on the Travel Channel and it was about Pittsburgh and the foods there. And one of the places they went to was Primanti Bros!!! Primanti Bros has been a Pittsburgh staple and is even at Heinz Field! She talked about the sandwiches and what makes the sandwich is the cole slaw. And I figured out her secret ingredient!!!
Today the Steelers played the Browns so I made THE Sandwich! And I decided to show you how it is made so you might enjoy it too!
First, it starts with Italian Bread. I buy a loaf and cut the slices myself and keep them kind of thick, Next is the meat...I chose Corned Beef and Capicola...you can choose any type of meat you want. On a griddle or frying pan, layer in slices of the corned beef and on top of that layer slices of capicola. Just cook it long enough to heat it through, flip it over to heat on the other side, then flip it once more and top it with Provolone just to begin melting.
Here is a picture of the bread, meats and cheese.
Then top it with a fried egg (this is optional)
Next top it with a handful of fries
Next is the slaw and 2 slices of tomato (the slaw is dressed with vinaigrette of oil, red wine vinegar, salt, pepper and Italian seasoning, just combine the ingredients until it tastes good then dress the slaw with it!)
Last is the top slice of bread, squeeze it together, don't let go and enjoy!
