Friday in Chicago!

I got a call from Carla about 5 or 6 weeks ago about and was telling me about a few of them going to Chicago for the NRA show...and no that is not the National Rifle Association! Its the National Restaurant Assoc. show that is every year and it lasts for 4 days! So I said where to I sign! Carla was going to get a bus ticket to Chicago on Thursday and then her and Roel (Carla's friend we were staying with) would come get me Friday morning.
So I booked a flight to get there on Friday so we could hang out all day and then be prepared for the festivities to begin early Saturday morning! Ross and Kim would be driving up on Friday night after they got out of work and wouldn't be there until after 2am! But then a little glitch happened! Carla didn't get a bus ticket until Thursday and wasn't going to get there until 6pm on Friday...my flight was to arrive in Chicago at 11:20 and now I was going to be stranded at the airport unless I figured something else out!
I made a quick phone call on Thursday and it was set...I was going to hang out with Nauder all day until Carla got there and then I would meet up with her later that night. So when I was talking to him, he was telling me that he would be working but Kris would be home so I could hang out with her until he could join us. My flight got in on time, I got a $32 cab ride to Nauder and Kris' and then she and I talked for hours and walked around Chicago! We got pedicures and manicures, walked down to Navy Pier and then decided to take a boat tour! Nauder joined us for that!
While we were on the boat, Carla called and said there was yet another glitch! The bus company had booked her ticket from Minneapolis instead of Indianapolis! And on top of that...the next bus wasn't until 4am! So now she was just gonna have to ride with Ross and Kim and they didn't get there until 2:30 that morning! So I stayed the night with Nauder and Kris and would just have to meet up with the others the next morning!
