Jackson's Ear

Some of you know that I refer to Jackson as my lemon dog, not because he is a yellow lab, but because there is always something going wrong with him! For the last 2 years he has had a problem with his ear and I have to clean it almost every night! I took him to a new vet and she put him on some new cleaner and gave him new drops to put in...and as my luck would have it...Guinness has it too! Apparently if she has been licking his ear or he has been licking her ear then they can pass it to each other! OH JOY!
Now you are asking yourself, why in the world am I posting something about Jackson's ear...well, over this time frame of having to clean his ear, Jackson has grown to hate it more and more! At first he would get this real sad look on his face and pin his ears back, well now it has evolved to him making faces! I crack up every single night when I sit down to clean ears! First I get Guinness, who hates it more than Jackson. She is ready to take off running at any given second, so I have to hold her to keep her in place. Once she is done, I ask Jackson to come over. He very sweetly hangs his head, pins his ears back and crouches down to come over to where I am sitting. As he walks he curls his lip...almost as if he were growling, but it is also the thing he does in the morning when I wake him up, he does it to smile!
