Open House

We had open house today at school to show potential students what the school is about and answer questions, give them a tour, etc. We have open house about 2 times a quarter, but I am usually so busy that I never have a chance to take pictures!
Today I had Carla there with me to help. I have become quite the crepe master in the last 7 months! Every open house we have, we make crepes filled with hot fudge and strawberries, topped with chocolate sauce, strawberry sauce, more strawberries, powdered sugar and whipped cream.
This time, I decided to add a little something different. Yesterday in Latin, we made Crepas con Salsa de Dulce de Leche! Which is Crepes with Dulce de Leche and Pistachios. The Dulce de Leche sauce was so amazing, I thought we have to do this for the open house!
There were 2 "potential" students who wanted to help out, so they stayed behind to help us make crepes!
Here I am working 3 pans to make crepes
After we were done with open house, I helped prep the ingredients for an event coming up on Monday. One of the girls at school had won a best teen chef contest while at her high school and Fox news is coming to our school to film a segment of her doing a demo. Chef Marc and Chef Frank stayed to help us...but they also helped me clean!!! It was great seeing them over in the dish tank scrubbing some pots and pans!!!
