Week 5 and Half Way Through

I woke up Tuesday morning and said, "Huh...this is week 5! I made it half way already!" Then I said, "WOOOOOHOOOOO!!!!" I am so glad it is already half way there! I am so tired this quarter! I know I say that each quarter, but I swear as the time goes by it just gets more and more intense.
As I have said, in my Pastry class I am pretty bored out of my mind! I am ready to gouge my eyeballs out! This is what I had to do for my mid-term! Bead border, beads, bead border, rosettes, stars, reverse shell border, shell border, shell border...easy, easy, easy, etc.
If any of you know me, you know I have done cakes for several years now, so "simple" piping techniques...yeah...I think I got that down! But, it was an easy A :)
The Red Velvet Cake we made
The duck I piped in chocolate on the red velvet cake
Linzer Tart
Sacher Torte (I didn't finish decorating it because I got asked to make 2 more for the restaurant to use the next day for our lunch service!)
On Thursday in the restaurant we walk in and Chef says we have a group of high schoolers coming to eat and we are serving them a fixed menu, but it was different from our regular menu! So not only were we going to be cooking from our regular menu, but now we had a fixed menu to make for this group of 35 people!

Our Mediterranean Salad
Chicken Scallopine with Pan Gravy, Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Brocollini
Sacher Torte (that I made!) with Berry Coulis and Vanilla Ice Cream
And I had to get a picture of this sexy salad! This was a special we ran this week, Asian Salad
